On August 5, according to the official Wechat of Taiyue in Shenzhou, the 5G News Working Group established a 5G News Joint Laboratory with 7 organizations, including China Communications Enterprise Association, China Information Communication Research Institute, China Telecom Group, China Mobile Communication Group, China United Network Communication Group, ZTE and Huawei, to carry out the technical verification work related to 5G News. It is planned to hold the unveiling ceremony of the joint laboratory at the 2021 China Value added Telecom and Virtual Operation Summit Forum, and launch the first 5G message terminal certification at the same time.

It is reported that the 5G News Working Group is promoting the implementation of 5G News specifications in accordance with the Group Standard Management Measures of China Communications Enterprise Association. The first specification discussion meeting of the working group was successfully held in July. The meeting approved five specifications, including 5G Message Service Display Specification, Technical Specification for Dual Card 5G Message Terminal, 5G Message Terminal and Network Compatibility Test Specification, Chatbot Name Specification and 5G Message Service Code Number Management Specification. The preparation unit, content scope and outline were determined, and the draft was entered into the draft stage.

Since late July, new trends of communication and 5G industry have emerged intensively. At the end of July, China Telecom, one of China's three communications giants, was approved by the CSRC to go back to A for listing. Subsequently, on July 30, the Municipal Communications Administration released the Beijing "Fourteenth Five Year" Information and Communication Industry Development Plan. It is estimated that by the end of 2025, 63000 5G base stations will be built and opened in Beijing, basically covering cities, towns, administrative villages and main roads.

On August 3, China Mobile and Huawei also jointly held the 5G Advanced Innovation Industry Summit in Beijing, during which they jointly signed the 5G Advanced Action Plan Joint Innovation Cooperation Memorandum. 5G Advanced defines new goals and capabilities for 5G and enables the value of 5G in more industrial applications. The agency said that the new application will give full play to the value and advantages of 5G as ICT basic network and information highway.

Song Jiaji of Guosheng Securities proposed that communication has the attribute of "hard technology". With the gradual promotion of centralized acquisition and construction of 5G base stations in China this year, the energy storage and inverter targets superimposed in "green communication" have been explored by the market, and the "infrastructure and hard technology" attribute of the communication industry will be further highlighted, which is expected to usher in a new round of valuation repair in today's volatile market with hard technology as the main line.

As for configuration style, Tang Haiqing of Tianfeng Securities said that the core opportunities of 5G investment opportunities are in 5G networks (the main equipment is the core)+5G applications (Internet of Things/Internet of Vehicles+cloud computing+video+traffic). It is suggested that in the short term, it should be suggested that the varieties reported in the layout should exceed the expectation, and in the long term, it should focus on the targets with high prosperity, low value and clear future growth logic: Internet of Things/intelligent connected vehicles, video conferencing, IDC, optical modules, and high-quality targets of operators.
